Decision, Will, and Attunement

Our Three Main Centres

True creative work and healing requires a balance of certain aspects and abilities of our being. One needs have their three major centers in full action and balance. These centers are the head or mental center, the heart or emotional center, and the vital or moving center located around the abdomen and hips.

The head center, mental centre, directs one’s attention and intention to a specific area of study or work. It is like a flashlight or radar that gives light and attention to the subject at hand. It can also direct intention and energy to place or work process. Through proper use of intelligence and thought energy, one can visualize results intended and organize the manifestation process. The head/mind can focus on different aspects or questions of study and is particularly useful for practical issues or problem solving. Through intention, decision and commitment, the needed energies can be accumulated and compressed for power in one’s work. This triad of decision draws help from higher powers and guidance, to create a pathway in time for completion. Within the decision, there needs to be willingness to act in accordance with the higher guidance.

The heart centre is our real connection to the Truth. The heart is the center which knows and understands from a spiritual deep level. One knows and recognizes the truth, the reality, by way of the heart. This center receives both knowledge and love. The head centre will understand things in a practical way, but the heart understands in a deeper way, understanding the deeper meaning and importance of anything. The head centre directs our attention and decision, for the receiving and transmitting of energies; yet our heart is the place from where our true motivation comes. Our inner motivation to love and serve come from our heart, and also feel the love and spiritual beauty of a place in our heart. True decision, commitment and intention to serve comes from the very center of our being, radiating outward to what we encounter and do. So, let us receive with the heart and give from the heart. The question of what is real and what to do should first come from the heart.

The aspiration to be in attunement and serve the highest good is known and realized in a prayer of the heart. We need to be in prayer constantly in whatever we are doing, in order to act as healers on the planet. We need to be in attunement with the highest, and constantly aware of what is going on at any one moment. Prayer has many aspects to it, though how one prays is ultimately unique for each person. Basically, what we are calling prayer, in this context, is a connection and attunement to a Higher Wisdom, or Divine Wisdom-Help, and intentionally asking for guidance help. Prayer begins and ends with an inner praise and gratitude for the Truth and the Good. Realize first that there is a way for healing and for creative good, and that you can understand this and be an instrument for its manifestation. Then realize the availability of the Highest Love, Wisdom and Power, for greater harmony, beauty and joy, and that you can be an agent for this. One needs to trust, to be in trust, and allow oneself to be entrusted. First attunement, second trust, then thirdly will come knowledge.

The moving centre is obviously from which we physically move and act. Yet equally important, it is from this lower centre that we ground ourselves. We need to be well grounded, well connected with the Earth, in order to safely and effectively work with the Earth energies and serve the Earth. We ground ourselves energetically by consciously connecting with the ground at every place we stand and with every step we take. And we do this with love, a sincere love for the Earth Mother, so that our heart love connects with Earth through this grounding. We ground ourselves also through intentional thought or visualization, seeing our physical energies connect with the earth. And finally, we use breath to ground ourselves. Our out-breath moves energetically down into the earth, and our in-breath brings up into us the important vital energies of the Earth. Breath is important in other ways as well, to be discussed in another section.

Decisions

We are here to make decisions in life. If we do not make our own decisions, then decisions will be made for us by our social environment and by our subconscious conditioning. Cooperation and going along with other’s decisions is very good at times, but sometimes we need to make our own decisions when it pertains to our own responsibilities, and even work which involves a group effort requires our decision and agreement to cooperatively work. Decision gives us a freedom of choice, a freedom of responsibility in determining our own expression in life, and to some degree a freedom to help determine the world we live in together.

The future is in our hands to the extent that we make conscious decisions, given the opportunities available. Decision is our point of power in the world, it is our point of power in the moment, as we decide where and to what our energy will go to. How we do things and act in the world can be determined or changed by conscious decision and agreement within. Decision is made and strengthened by our inner commitment and agreement, through the affirmation of “Yes I will”, which connects 'I' with the power of 'will'.

Will is the power of manifestation seen in the will-to-life on the planet and in our own will-to-create. Will is a creative power, which is different than merely wishing or wanting something to happen. There is nothing wrong with wishes, but they do not have the formative power of I will. We have the ability and free right to use this power, but this is only possible when we identify it as the “I” or merge ourself into the will. Personal will is a power given to us from divine Will, but until we are purified of false self identification and self-centeredness, our personal will is not necessarily in alignment with the greater divine Will - which can also be understood as love-wisdom or as a greater purpose in life to bring about love, goodness and beauty.

Decision is like a power switch turning on the power of will, but a decision may or may not intelligent or aligned with divine Will and Purpose. It is best to wait until we have intelligent knowledge and are attuned to the Divine before making decisions, but often we have to make decisions in the best way we can. We often experience many doubts and fears before a decision is made, and these are good to look at because they may be guiding us from making mistakes. Yet sometimes our doubts are simply part of our personality pattern of worry and doubt. It is best if we get a green light to go, as felt from inside, or perhaps we just feel right about it. In other words, wait for a yes, then make this a go. We could always find something to worry about or doubt. So at some point we have to “go for it.”

This is not to say that hazard or danger ceases to exist upon decision. There is always some element of hazard involved in any decision or endeavor, and we should not act in haste or put blinders on possible hazard. If we maintain awareness, we can respond intelligently to the unexpected as it arises and keep ourself on track to our goal. Mistakes are possible in this world and it is possible to be led astray onto false paths. There is a possibility of doing unintentional or accidental harm to others or ourselves, as well as intentional damage. One definition of wrong action is anything which temporarily reverses or blocks the flow of love between us and the world, or blocks others from the positive energies of life.

---

Let's not get fooled by a sentimental, pollyanna view of believing that everything is always “for the best” or that whatever we do is “perfectly what we need to be doing.” There are many variations of this sort of false belief in the world. On the contrary, perfect action is that which leads toward love or beauty, and any other result is simply not good enough. Complete perfection in this world still remains within a 'world of possibility', awaiting the transformation of unnecessary pain and the building of love in our world. We can move toward perfection of love, or we can harm love and delay the possible manifestation of divine goodness on Earth. Eventually we can learn from mistakes, and come into a more perfect action of love. But in order to grow into this, we need to recognize mistakes and the harm which is so evident in the world. If we were to believe that everything is perfect all the time, then we would just accept all harm in the world as perfectly good and give up any attempt to help changes things for the better or become a better person in life.

Perhaps the pollyanna view gives one a sense of contentment and peace; but unfortunately, it lacks the creative tension necessary to transform of ourself and the world. Trust is very important, and peace in mind and heart is also, but we need to look at life realistically, without blinders, to see the unfortunate pain and mistakes caused by people including our own self. We do not need to torture ourselves with guilt about the past or sit in worry all day about possible mistakes and hazards, but we could realize that nobody is perfect and our decisions may have some negative side-effects, though we can always learn and do better through experience and contemplation of what is really true.

Now that the above has been stated, it can also be admitted that often what may seem like a mistake or a wrong road taken, may in fact be leading us to more significant goals or to actual goodness. We need to remember that our judgment of events or consequences of our actions is limited by our limited understanding. Appearances can be misleading and so can our beliefs about what is best; so it is always possible that a higher wisdom is helping us even when we think everything is going amiss. This is a possibility to keep in mind. But we should not mistakenly then conclude that everything which happens is divinely guided, or that real mistakes never occur, or that there are no wrong turns.

---

Finally to mention about decision is that before making any decision it is good to consider our motive behind it. There is always some greater motive behind any decision or intention, which could be material gain, sex, attention, self-esteem, power, friendship, love, knowledge, beauty, service, or whatever. It is very good to look honestly at what is motivating our decisions and actions, because if the motivation is unconscious, it is probably an old conditioning which could be leading us down similar paths as before, even if the decision seems like a new one. Once a hidden motive or motivator is made conscious, we can then re-decide the relative value of it in our lives and how much energy we want to give to it. As we contemplate our motives, intentions and commitments in the heart with deeper and deeper honesty, we will come to know the truth of ourself and also a path towards love. As we discover our deepest motive and intention of the heart, we may realize our purpose on earth and make decisions from this center.

Making decisions with one's heart

Making decisions seems to be the hardest task of all life. Before embarking on any project or activity, one needs to question what to do, and this question needs to be placed in the heart, in order for the answer will come out from of the heart. Sure, the mind up there in the head plays an important role in decision-making, but a mind without a heart is a sad thing. The heart is where we recognize truth and value. Truth is in the heart, and the heart recognizes truth when we present an idea to it. The heart will know what is right and should be the final judge of any analysis. When one is centered in the heart and lives from the heart, then decision can naturally be made from the heart. If we surrender to the knowing heart, becoming still within the heart of being, our decisions will have more certainty of truth and guidance.

An easy way in life, which also works tremendously well, is to allow one's heart to make final decisions. All your heart-knowing to be the final decider. Let the mind consider the many possibilities of anything and the many reasons for doing this or that. But let the heart make the final decision. This not only makes decisions and life easier, but it is also the way for us to live more firmly in higher guidance, because higher guidance will more likely come through the heart than then the thinking mind. Yet for this to work properly, our heart needs to have a connection to Divine Love. If you feel you have made this connection, then trust your heart. Trust what your heart is telling you. Trust that your heart is connected with a greater wisdom and will inform you.

Intention

Once a decision is made to do something, we can begin the process of completing it by first “setting our intention”, fixing it in mind and in projected time through visualizing the completion and the important steps needed to get there. If we set our intention with the triad of commitment, willingness and agreement to completing it, then our energies will come together and we will magnetically draw needed energies from the environment for our work. Without definite, conscious intention, our energies will be scattered and we may get deviated from the goal on the way.

Completion is already subsistent in potential and we need to agree to it and fill in the time with the necessary steps and with both patience and perseverance. Setting an intention involves the setting of time, our use of time. Time is a very intangible and flexible medium once it is understood and used intelligently. The agreement we make with the intention fixes the energies and time into place.

Intention produces the pattern for energy, and agreement fixes it into time. During the time between the initial intention and the completion or goal visualized, one must keep the intention in mind and remember the agreement; yet if the initial intention and agreement is sufficiently strong it will have a life of its own, which will help to remind us of the goal and help to keep us on the right track. Strong intention, and inner unified agreement to this, with commitment and willingness to do all we can to fulfill whatever is needed, builds the magnetic pattern that will bring the completion to us and help to insure that we are not lead astray in deviating directions. It also helps to enjoy and be grateful for what we are doing, knowing that our efforts will serve the needs of the future.

When we work, we must work with total attention and intention. Staying with our intention keeps the power in motion and keeps the attunement connected. Do not become identified with anything, except the intention. Many things come up, in appearance and emotionally. The denying forces often manifest in peculiar ways that attempt to draw our sentimentality and reaction to it and divert us from the work at hand. Whenever you feel confusion or danger, draw support from the divine power, and always keep the Chi or vital force alive and flowing within. One can draw in the vital force needed for work from the earth and from the air, using this energy and even directing it for the work.

The work of healing requires much strength, because somethings do not want to change and might fight back in desperation. The healer must be aware of the denying forces and be able to move through the possible hazards and whirling chaos generated by fear and ignorance. If one is not awake or strong enough, one might be blown around by the chaos that one is working to heal. Necessary precautions should be taken to insure the safety of oneself, as well as the purity of the work. Cleanliness of body and thought is foremost.

Our goal is to empower the land and ourselves with healing and harmony, and the results of our work should reflect this. We need to take on some authority over the energies and elements of the earth, to organize, evolve and bring forth new potentials; while aligning our powers and choices with the highest Love and Will, and taking care to be responsible stewards and mediators of truth, goodness and beauty. We need to be fully committed to this responsibility, willing to do what is necessary for the good of the whole and in complete agreement with the higher purpose involved.

First, know you are loved and trust you are not alone. Know that love, guidance and healing is given to the receptive heart, when trust, appreciation and agreement are present. Receive this in love, in trust, in thankfulness, and in agreement. Those who are willing to help, to serve creation, who are completely committed in the Work, and who are able to trust in Love, will be given possibilities and opportunities, and entrusted with responsibilities.

A geomancer is a kind of shaman and a magician. We transform and direct energies, protect and heal certain areas. We use the power of The Creator to do all sorts of things for the evolution of the planet and the glorification of this Divine Life. We are the vehicles or the channels for the Divine Will, depending upon our degree of conscious attunement, the purity of our intention and the abilities we have mastered. Remember, you are not separate from the Whole or from the Divine Power. Within the One, there is a Triad of the Divine Will, the Work to be done, and the agent for its becoming. We are the agent, and we use the Power of Divine Will in accomplishing the Work. Yet this means responsibility.

In order to do any geomancy work, one has to take on the power of higher authority and have the necessary will to accomplish results. We can acquire the power of higher authority and wisdom by willingly becoming a servant of Divine Work. As we become a 'servant of the Work', we are more able to serve and work for Greater Good.

Attunement to the Highest is mandatory. Concentration is essential. Knowledge is necessary. Permission is needed. Always gain permission. One needs permission from all the custodians of the land, from the humans responsible for it but also from the Devic guardians overseeing it. Ask permission even to walk upon land, even to study it. Go about in love and only go where you are loved to be. Some places cannot be helped, because there is no permission, no agreement to help. One must then wait. Some places cannot be fully helped, because some places are too far gone and beyond the knowledge and power of the worker to heal.

One needs to first respect the questions and wishes of the people who live on the land and who are asking for help. If there is complete agreement and permission to do what is necessary, then one can proceed to study the situation and begin to help or give advice. The greatest goal is to serve the greatest needs and serve the Work as best as possible; yet the permission and agreement must be there, or else the work will soon be destroyed or may even back-fire.

Prayer and questions

Some kind of prayer is also needed, prayer that is held continuously throughout any work or action. The essential meaning of prayer, in this context, is connection and attunement with Love-Wisdom, Higher Will, or God. Prayer develops from a deep aspiration within our hearts to know the Truth and Purpose, and to serve this Truth and do the needed Work to the best of our abilities.

Prayer can be questions from the heart. We must ask deep questions sincerely from the heart, then allow for the answer to come and live through us.

In complete humility we could ask these three questions: May I, Should I, and Can I.

May I is about having permission from the Higher Love-Wisdom, or from God. Should I is to do with time and space. It is about whether the timing is right and also about right placement of anything or the use of space. Can I is about our own abilities at this time; in other words, am I capable of this and can I actually complete the task. These questions, asked from the heart to our highest connection to Love-Wisdom, ought to be asked before attempting anything.

True questions from the heart will enliven the possibilities for Work on this planet. If one keeps these questions, prayers, and aspirations alive, then a connection with the Divine is maintained and even strengthens in one’s being. This conscious attunement with the Highest involves an active aspiration, along with an allowing receptivity for being an agent of the True, the Good and the Beautiful.

Once one is in attunement, or in prayer, then the the work of self-control, intention and observation are added to make real work and creative good possible. A triad is set in motion, involving attunement with the Higher Will, consideration for the specific needs at hand, and the necessary intention and discipline of the agent or worker. The discipline involves conscious intention, self-control, concentration, receptive awareness, respect, commitment, willingness and agreement, just to mention a few requirements.

Attunement

We need to continually seek and attune ourselves to the higher guidance known through the conscience and intuition of the heart. Greater help is always here for us, if only we are willing and trusting enough to receive it. If we can realize that a greater Wisdom knows what is best for us and also for the area of our activity, and will guide us to wisdom, then we do not have to feel so alone in making decisions. We can make an inner agreement and a commitment to this greater Wisdom, or to the divine Will, which keeps us in attunement. When a decision comes out of a selfish desire it has power to it and can work to completion, but a decision coming out of a motive to serve the greater Life will attract much help and power from sources beyond us, and also empowered by the divine Will. When we come into the greater Will, we are able to respond to need with a greater power of authority and love.

Sacrifice of the little self to the greater Self, or sacrifice of self-centered desire to the greater needs of the Earth, brings us to the greater, higher, divine Will. The sacrifice of our little personality self, for higher purposes or for the greater good, and our willingness to be of service, are keys to coming into attunement. If we study ourselves we will notice that there are many little desires within us, each having their own particular goals and each using a certain amount of our total energies. Willingness, agreement and commitment helps to bring these 'little wills' into cooperation and harmony, thereby uniting our psyche energies and powers together into a common agreement or purpose. In this way, the power of will can become the uniter of self, as it synergetically unites our energies and abilities into being a greater unified power. We could call this possibility the uniting will.

In creative work, remember three aspects:

  1. personal intention and commitment to service.

  2. sensitivity, visualization and breath necessary for the work,

along with the knowledge of how, when and where to proceed.

  3. Know that Grace is given, which our receptivity and gratitude make possible.

Alignment with above and below

We are living embodiments of and mediators for the Truth and its manifestation. This attunement necessarily involves an alignment with the Highest above and the Sacred below. One aligns with the Spiritual Guidance coming from above. This allows Greater Consciousness to enfold and permeate our own consciousness. It carries the Creative Intelligence and World of Ideas, which gives meaningful direction and vision to one’s awareness and activity. The “Father in Heaven” represents this Divine Consciousness to guide our will and awaken us to the Truth of Who we are. Allow this Greater Consciousness to descend into the mind and heart, expanding one’s awareness and love.

The other polarity of alignment is with the Sacred ground below us. The above and the below are equal in importance, as one cannot exist without the other, and both cannot exist without the in-between. The ground below is the gift of Life which nurtures our being. It is represented by the “Great Mother Earth,” Who gives life and is Life. Vast possibilities for creative manifestation and evolution are here on this planet, in this life. Align with and receive the nurturing love and vitality from the earth. Allow yourself to feel and be grounded. Extend your sensitivity below the feet, plant your presence into the ground, and allow the living energy of the planet to flow up through your feet and into your heart, then circulating all through the body, re-vitalizing all your cells.

In-between this dual alignment is the breath, which can be attuned in harmony with the planet. We can breathe from the Mother, from the earth, in rhythm with the planetary tides of living breath. We come into harmony with the earth and the sacred land around us through conscious breath. Conscious breath creates flow and keeps it going. Conscious breath receives what is necessary and gives us what is needed. It relaxes the flow and intensifies the work. It empowers the body and awakens the mind. Breath is the vehicle for understanding, the carrier of life, and the pathway to love. Conscious breath makes all things possible, starting with your own being. Refined breath has its life in the heart. It lives from the heart, which is the seat of the soul and the dwelling place of God.

Attunement with Divine Will

In this work we use the power of God’s authority, when we are sufficiently attuned to the Divine Destiny, having the Divine Permission to proceed. We must take authority into our own hands. The responsibility is ours, and yet if we are not sufficiently attuned to the real need of the time and place, then we might create harm in what we do , as well as for ourselves. Once we do know what to do, then we have to have the courage, the determination, the love and patience, and of course the ability to do it. If we attune ourself to the highest good and come from our spiritual root source, then we have the power necessary. Help will then come forth from the invisible and visible worlds of nature, and the unfolding plan will be empowered. We need to be willing to sacrifice our own wants and likes, as well as those of others, because sometimes the work called for is demanding of sacrifice and must step upon people’s likes and concepts of what should be. Any form of transformation or healing involves some degree of sacrifice and dying.

Somethings must go for somethings to enter, and we cannot be sentimental about the past or any one thing, whether physical or conceptual. In the work of transformation and healing there is always at least something that does not want to go, to change. The work we need to do is not always liked by everyone. Security of position is often threatened. There will exist a denying force in every attempt to redeem or heal a situation. The worker needs to have some sense of being a warrior, for death is a part of evolution, and destruction is a part of creation. The strong and determined worker cannot allow sentimentality to rule. Once the Great Will is known, one must carry it forth to completion.

Of course one must be careful here, for we can be fooled so easily by our ignorance and distortions of the small ego. We need to work on ourselves, purify ourselves and continually attune to the Highest. This is not something we can just do for a time or in a few practices, but must be constantly worked at and given some time to develop. Nobody is perfect, and our degree of right attunement is never fully known for sure. So we can only do the best we can, while seeking evermore guidance from deep within and from others who can help us. Anyone can begin from where they are at to help serve this life, taking some responsibility for what one feels they can do, while being ever humble in the approach, though ever determined to accomplish something needed. We learn from doing, not just from meditating about it. We are the hope for conscious evolution. Our inheritance is the possibility for being the heart, the mind and the hands of The Creator on Earth to evolve this planet to the ultimate perfection destined to come.

Humility is needed and an openness to learning from others or from nature, at every moment.

Divine Possibility

The world of possibility subsists within this actualized world. The Divine and its possibility lies within the matrix of this planet. The whole planet is an interconnected matrix of possibility. Each space, or each place, is a possible receptive for the Divine Will, Divine Beauty to manifest. Every place on this earth is a spacial possibility for something to emerge and grow into being. We can open up a space to receive Divine Will, and allow the living energies to grow into their own unique, Divine expression. We can help unfold into actualization a perfected pattern of harmony, subsisting in possibility within the planetary matrix.

We can help anchor the Divine Possibility, not only by opening the space for its spontaneous manifestation, but also by anchoring our love and creativity for good. Our creativity can be a Divine expression. We can help prepare space for the future to come, for Divine to unfold, and allow the possibility of new birth. This new birth requires our effort, our pro-creative intention, and a nurturing space to grow. The Divine Destiny will only be born through our conscious help and allowing receptivity. We are like the natural parents of the incarnating Christos, needing to give this growing child of God the space to grow toward its unfolding destiny, while protecting and giving all the knowledge and love we have to it. We help lead the child to its own unique fulfillment.

We live in a world of form. The planet, different places and things on it, have some kind of form. Energy actualizes into some form or another. All form derives from a 'World' of Ideas. Ideas create a formative world of pattern and relationship making this world of actual form as we know it. The form of this world is an expression of Divine Ideas, coming from the Divine Will or Intention. The Divine Will seeks to manifest itself, The Creator seeks to unfold its potentials of Being and become. This world is the Creator in expression and being.

The Divine Will is working itself out on this planet, through this space and time. Our human consciousness at its deepest level and truth is the Divine Consciousness, is the Creator knowing Itself. Our expression is fundamentally God’s expression, along with all life and form on earth. Our self-discovery and our discovery of life on earth is God’s discovery. The purpose of life on earth is found in life on earth, and found through our consciousness exploring this vast mystery of life’s reality and possibilities. This Divine expression, and the Divine Consciousness implicit within it, is evolving, unfolding in time and space. It is not yet completed and maybe can never fully be, but the process is essentially perfect.

So, the future is very much in our hands. It is very much dependent upon us, how we evolve ourselves and creatively act. Without human consciousness and creative will, the Great Purpose has no real meaning, and everything we have been given, within and outside, is for this Great Purpose. We must not deny our great potentials. We must not deny our self-expression or the truth of who we are. We must not deny ourselves. We are Divine beings. The Divine Will is within us; yet we need to grow into this knowledge, discover our Divine Knowingness and Divine Love.

We will come to know ourselves as creators, as unique mirrors of the Creator. It is our destiny and our responsibility. We are the mind and hands of The Creator. We are The Creator in unique expression, expressing the vast possibilities of truth and beauty. Within us lies the potential for conscious evolution, and this conscious evolution is the apex of the Great Purpose in life. The great possibilities for further evolution of life and form, truth and beauty, subsists as only potentials, waiting for our recognition and intentional creative action. We have this power, this freedom, to bring forth the Divine potential into actualization. It is up to our choice, our willingness and decision. It is the great question in life.

What are we doing here, what are we creating, and what is good? What kind of life, what kind of existence, is valuable to us? What do we really value? What do we really want? What do we really choose, given all this possibility?

Decision and intention, along with commitment, willingness and agreement to its completion, allows the Divine Will to come into this world. When we surrender to the heart of knowing what is good and right to do, the Divine Will can manifest through us. The true will is in the heart. It comes out of the love in our heart, and we can trust this will of the heart as being the Divine Will speaking through us. The Divine Will can only come through our will, and our own will-to-good is the Divine Will-to-good. It is the creative will within us, the will to life, love and freedom to be. The will within the heart is the soul, our true individuality, the individuality of Divine Consciousness. The deepest recognition of will within us is “our lord”, which is slightly different, individual for each of us, but in essence is the same. We need to surrender to the lord of the heart, being honestly receptive to this growing recognition, then proceed in life with this guiding will, becoming and doing what we know is the inner purpose of our existence here on earth. The Divine Will is ultimately served by being true to our own inner recognition of what our heart wills to do. This may involve a cooperative work with others or our own new initiative, or some kind of reconciliation between the two.
